Get ready to groove all night long at the Motown Shared Christmas Party in the heart of London!
It’s a celebration of soulful tunes, dancing, and unforgettable moments. Picture this: a vibrant atmosphere, a delectable 3-course dinner, unlimited beer and wwine drinks package, fun casino tables and a dazzling glitter bar — all set against the backdrop of timeless Motown classics.
Our sensational 6-piece Motown tribute band will take you on a journey through the greatest hits of legends like Martha Reeves, Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye, and Smokey Robinson. With doo-wop vocals, funky rhythms, and electrifying live performances, these tunes are bound to get everyone on their feet. You won’t want to leave the dance floor.
Please note the video shows a 10-piece set up. We’ll have a 6-piece band.
Located in central London at the Leonardo Royal Hotel London City, getting there is a breeze with excellent transport links.
Your Motown Christmas experience begins with a VIP entrance, complete with a complimentary glass of Prosecco. Capture the excitement on the red carpet before stepping into the Motown-themed event space.
Whilst dinner is served, our talented live singer will serenade you with soulful Motown classics, setting the mood for a night to remember. Once dinner is done, get ready to groove as the band takes the stage as you hit the dancefloor and display your best moves.
But the fun doesn’t stop there. Try your luck at the casino tables or add some extra sparkle at the glitter bar.
The Leonardo Royal London City offers the perfect setting for this unforgettable party — with Tower Hill, Aldgate tube stations, Tower Gateway DLR, and Fenchurch Street just a stone’s throw away.

Menus may change if certain ingredients are unavailable due to supply chain issues. We cater for all dietary requirements. Once you’ve booked, we’ll send you a function sheet so you can let us know about them. If anyone in your party requires Kosher food, please get in touch. It comes via a separate caterer and incurs an additional charge.
The running order for this event is as follows:
7.30pm – VIP red carpet arrival with a glass of Prosecco
8pm- 3-course dinner and all-inclusive drinks, with live music
10pm – More live Motown music and dancing, casino tables, glitter bar
Midnight – Motown band finishes, recorded music continues
12.30am – Bar closes
1am – Carriages
Please treat the above as a guide rather than an exact schedule.
Is this a shared event?
Yes, the main party room is shared because it’s where all the music happens.
Will we have our own table?
Yes, no matter the size of your guest list you’ll have your own tables. You won’t have to share the table with anyone outside your party group.
Are drinks included in the price?
Yes. Wine, beer and soft drinks are included in your ticket price. They’re served from 8pm until 12.30am.
If you’d like to upgrade, you can purchase 5 premium drinks tokens for £25 + VAT per person. Each token is redeemable for a glass of prosecco or single spirits with or without mixers.
Will the hotel cater for different dietary requirements?
Yes they will. Once you’ve booked, we’ll send you a function sheet. Use this to let us know the names and dietary requirements of any guests. We’ll inform the chef so that each person is catered for appropriately.
The only exception to this is Kosher food. This cannot be prepared at the hotel. It comes via a separate caterer and incurs an additional cost.
How much is the deposit? And when is it due?
To secure your booking, we’ll need a deposit of £45 + VAT per guest at the time of booking. The balance will be due 6 weeks (42 days) before the event.
Can I add additional guests later?
We’ll be as flexible as possible. Please let us know about any changes before 1st November and we’ll do our best to accommodate them. Provided there is availability, we can add to your booking — although please bear in mind, we can’t guarantee this.
If you want to add guests, contact us on 0208 102 1105. We’ll let you straight away if there’s availability. If there’s enough space for additional guests, full payment will be required in order to secure the booking.
What’s the minimum and maximum number of guests I can book for?
The minimum is 8 people. The maximum number for this event is 300.
Is there parking near the venue?
There’s on-street parking near the hotel, although charges may apply. The nearest car park is Tower Hill car park, 50 Lower Thames Street.
What about public transport links?
You’re within easy reach of Tower Hill and Aldgate tube stations.
Tower Gateway DLR and Fenchurch Street Station are also just a short walk away.
Is there disabled access?
Yes – please let our team know in advance for any guests with accessibility requirements.
Is there a cloakroom? Will I be able to leave my suitcase there?
Yes, the cloakrooms at all our party locations are free. If you have larger luggage items, every hotel venue has a free concierge service. Leave your luggage with them and they’ll look after it securely while you’re at the event.
Can I stay at the hotel?
Yes, although you will need to arrange the booking. Unfortunately, we’re unable to do this for you.
